HAINAULT COUNTRY PARK LAKE This well established fishery in Hainault Country Park is managed on behalf of Redbridge Council by the HOLLOW ANGLING SOCIETY. The lake contains a good head of fish with Carp to 15 lbs., Tench to 9 lbs., Roach to 1.5 lbs., Rudd to 2 lbs., Perch to 2.5 lbs., Pike to 15 lbs., and 6lb. Eels. An ongoing stocking policy has seen the introduction of £5,000 of fish in 2003. This consisted of 1,000 x 8" carp, 350 3-5 lbs. carp, 350 x 8" tench and 700 x 8" bream. A lot of money and effort is being invested by both Redbridge Council and Hollow Angling Society to make this a safe top venue for the pleasure angler both young and old. The lake is open during the day time only, normally 7am. to dusk.
Club members fish free on production of their current membership photo card, whilst non members pay a small fee which for the 2007-8 season is £5 for adults, £3 for 12-16 year olds, disabled and OAP. Under 12 year olds free. Day tickets from the Refreshment Bar or the Bailiff. Club membership is £10 for 12-16 year olds, £29 for concessions and £52 for adults, and this gives free fishing on seven lakes and two rivers Hot and cold refreshments are on sale from 11am until late afternoon, in the refreshment shop by the car park.
Two toilets are available, just after the shop, and by the second car park. Drinking water is available between the first and second car parks. A visitors centre with some interesting displays including a large cold water fish tank, which is slowly being stocked, is situated by the second car park. Various interesting animals are kept in paddocks to the right of the road.
Bailiffs and Hainault Park Staff patrol the park and any instructions given by them must be carried out. The Park Staff are there to ensure that everyone using the park enjoys it, they are always willing to answer your questions about the park but are not anglers.

HOLLOW ANGLING SOCIETY Fishery rules for Hainault Forest Country Park
1. No night fishing. See park opening times displayed daily in the car park and on the side of the entrance road. 2. Barb less hooks only. 3. No keep nets. Fish must be returned to the water without delay. 4. Unhooking mats must be used. Fish must be handled with wet hands and at no time laid on the ground. 5. No floating baits due to wildlife on the lake. 6. Rods must be attended at all times. Anglers should remain within 2 metres of all rods. Hooks must be removed from the water before leaving the swim for any reason, and the bait removed from the hook. Beware wild fowl. 7. Excessive use of ground bait is not permitted. Dependant on conditions, notice board or bailiff will advise when restricted. 8. Fishing only the main part of the lake. No fishing to the right of the path leading down from the car park round behind the island to the inlet on the opposite side. 9. No fires, Barbecues or Loud radios. 10. No wading or swimming. 11. Anglers must not remove, cut, damage add or alter the bankside vegetation in any way. 12. Swims must be kept clear of litter. Litter bins are provided. 13. A current E.A. Licence is required by all anglers of 12 and over, and be shown on request of bailiff or park staff.
